Die "Linse" hat eine sehr hohe Stabilität auf dem Wasser und ihre Wasserlinie befindet sich unter dem "Äquator". Die "Linse" ist aus Stahlbeton gebaut und kann ein Zuladegewicht bis zu 200 T haben, dabei bleibt die Wasserlinie auf der Äquatorhöhe. Bei einer Überschwemmung schwimmt sie auf dem Wasser. Sie ist zusätzlich mit Aktivankern ausgerüstet. Wenn sich das Wasser zurückgezogen hat, kehrt sie wieder auf ihren Platz zurück.
